Yachting Victoria in Partnership with Hobson Bay City Council Access for All Abilities Program are proud to announce that it has been successful in receiving a grant from the Department of Planning and Community Development to administer a structured and accredited two-year pilot program tailored to people with a disability. Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program (LLNP) ~ The language, literacy and numeracy program is available for people who are receiving Centrelink benefits and need to improve their written and spoken English to gain employment. the program is funded through the Department of Education and Workplace Relations and is free to participants. If you are interested in joining this program please visit your local Centrelink or contact Williamstown Community and Education Centre on 9397 6168.
English as a Second Language ~ Do you want to learn English? Would you like to improve your reading and writing? Williamstown Community and Education Centre runs classes from many venues throughout Hobsons Bay at a very low cost. Phone Lynne or Jenny on 9397 6168.
Adult Migrant Education Program (510 hours) ~ English language training for new arrivals in Australia to help improve their basic English Language skills. Please phone Lynne or Jenny on 9397 6168 for an appointment. Eligibility for this program depends on the type of Visa you have used to enter Australia.

- New Courses at Spotswood ~ Monday Craft Night, Health and Well Being Self Help Forums, Nana's Backyard Food and Produce Swap, Kid's in the Kitchen, Spinning and Gardening.
- Spotswood Infomation ~ Playgroups/Mothers Groups... Spotswood Community House currently has vacancies for playgroups and/or Mothers Groups. Spotswood House is the perfect venue for these activities. If you are looking for a venue for your group, give Spotswood a call on 9391 2613 or drop in and have a look at our newly renovated House.
Hobsons Bay Men's Shed Network...Staff at Spotswood Community House are involved in the coordination of this network. The Hobsons Bay Men's Shed group is located at their new premises in Queen Street, Altona Meadows. Phone the Centre on 9391 2613 for more information.
