• Yachting Victoria in Partnership with Hobson Bay City Council Access for All Abilities Program are proud to announce that it has been successful in receiving a grant from the Department of Planning and Community Development to administer a structured and accredited two-year pilot program tailored to people with a disability. Register your interest immediately as numbers are limited. No prior sailing experience or knowledge required. Contact Gavin Wall on 9397 1277 or e-mail to rycv@rycv.asn.au.

• FREE Open Access Computer ~ An 'Open Access Computer' is now available at Williamstown Community and Education Centre during the following times: Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and
  1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Phone 9397 6168 to book.

• New Courses at Williamstown ~ Starting out on a Computer, Learn to Type Workshop, Intermediate Computers, Advanced Excel, Publisher Workshop,Baby Sitting for Teens, Kathy Walker, Japanese Workshops, Art Therapy Workshops for Women and Children's Art Workshop.

• Williamstown Information ~
  Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program (LLNP) ~ The language, literacy and numeracy program is available for people who are receiving Centrelink benefits and need to improve their written and spoken English to gain employment. the program is funded through the Department of Education and Workplace Relations and is free to participants. If you are interested in joining this program please visit your local Centrelink or contact Williamstown Community and Education Centre on 9397 6168.
  
  English as a Second Language ~ Do you want to learn English? Would you like to improve your reading and writing? Williamstown Community and Education Centre runs classes from many venues throughout Hobsons Bay at a very low cost. Phone Lynne or Jenny on 9397 6168.
  
  Adult Migrant Education Program (510 hours) ~ English language training for new arrivals in Australia to help improve their basic English Language skills. Please phone Lynne or Jenny on 9397 6168 for an appointment. Eligibility for this program depends on the type of Visa you have used to enter Australia.
  
  Centre User Groups ~Floydies Get Together (Ph: 9397 6168), Bone Boosters (Ph: 9397 6168), Camera Club (Ph: 9316 5778), Yoga - Saturday (Ph: 9391 5667, Willy War Games (Ph: 0404 879 657).

• New Courses at Spotswood ~ Monday Craft Night, Health and Well Being Self Help Forums, Nana's Backyard Food and Produce Swap, Kid's in the Kitchen, Spinning and Gardening.
  
  
• Spotswood Infomation ~ Playgroups/Mothers Groups... Spotswood Community House currently has vacancies for playgroups and/or Mothers Groups. Spotswood House is the perfect venue for these activities. If you are looking for a venue for your group, give Spotswood a call on 9391 2613 or drop in and have a look at our newly renovated House.
  
  Hobsons Bay Men's Shed Network...Staff at Spotswood Community House are involved in the coordination of this network. The Hobsons Bay Men's Shed group is located at their new premises in Queen Street, Altona Meadows. Phone the Centre on 9391 2613 for more information.
